Throwing Stones

22 11 2011

“When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ‘If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.'” Jn. 8:7

As I read that verse today, I had to stop and think about how many times I throw stones at people: an unkind word, looking the other way when someone needs help with something I don’t want to do, gossipping about another person, and many more. Everyone sins, the Bible tells us that, Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” It would be best for me to remember that  the next time I want to throw a stone at someone.
